KYC stands for Know Your Customer and it is a one time check that we complete before your first withdrawal. It protects you by making sure that nobody else can take out the money sitting in your wallet, and it keeps the platform in line with the rules that apply to every payment made in India.
When it is needed
You will be asked to complete KYC before your very first withdrawal, and after that you do not have to send anything again unless you change the bank account, UPI number or mobile number linked to your ID.
Which documents are accepted
You simply need to share the account holder's Aadhar or Pan card to complete the process. A passport, voter ID or driving licence is also accepted if that is easier for you. Along with this we need something that shows the name on the account you want your winnings sent to, which can be a bank statement, a passbook page or a screenshot of your UPI app.
The name on your documents has to match the name on the account you are withdrawing to, because a mismatch between the two is the single most common reason a payout gets held up at the bank's end.
How to send them
Message our team on WhatsApp and tell them you want to start KYC. Send clear photographs with all four corners of the document visible and nothing covered or cropped, and our team will check them for you, usually within a few hours. You will get a confirmation on the same chat once your ID is verified, and your withdrawal can then be processed normally.
Keeping your documents safe
Your documents are stored securely and are seen only by the team members who verify them. They are never sold or shared for marketing and they are deleted once we are no longer required to hold them. You are welcome to mask the middle digits of your Aadhar number before sending it, as we only need the name, the photograph and the last four digits to complete the check.
Please remember that you should only ever send your documents on the chat that you have started yourself from the WhatsApp button on this site. If somebody messages you first claiming to be from 99Exchange and asks for your documents, do not send them anything.
