These rules govern how bets are accepted and settled on 99Exch. They sit alongside our Terms & Conditions. Where a specific sport rule conflicts with a general rule, the sport rule applies.
General
- A bet counts only once it appears in your bet history. A price on screen is an invitation, not a contract.
- Markets settle on the official result of the governing body at the time of first settlement. Later appeals, disqualifications or amendments do not reopen a settled market.
- If a market is settled in error we reserve the right to correct it, in either direction.
- All times shown are IST.
Back and lay
- Back means betting that an outcome will happen. Lay means betting that it will not, and accepting the corresponding liability.
- A bet is matched only when there is opposing money at that price. Unmatched bets carry no stake and can be cancelled while the market is open.
- Commission may be charged on net market winnings at 2%.
In-play betting
- In-play markets are suspended at key moments — a wicket, a goal, a break in play. Unmatched bets may be cancelled on suspension.
- Transmission of live pictures and data is always delayed. You are responsible for bets placed on information that has already moved on.
- Bets struck after an outcome is already known may be void.
Void bets
A bet is void, and the stake returned, where:
- The event is abandoned, postponed or cancelled and not completed within 48 hours of the scheduled start time.
- The event is played at a different venue than advertised, where that materially changes it.
- There is an obvious error in the price offered — a "palpable error".
- A technical fault affected the market.
- There is evidence of manipulation, collusion or automated play.
- A named participant takes no part in the event.
Cricket
- Match odds settle on the official result. If a match is decided by a shortened-overs method such as DLS, that result stands.
- A tie with no super over settles as a dead heat unless a tie market was offered.
- A super over counts for match odds, but not for innings, player or fancy markets unless stated.
- Fancy and session markets (runs in an over, partnership runs, player runs) are void if the innings does not reach the full advertised length, unless the outcome is already determined.
- Top batter / top bowler markets require the player to be in the starting eleven; otherwise bets are void.
- If overs are reduced after a market opens, that market is void unless the outcome is already settled.
Other sports
- Football — markets settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties, unless stated.
- Tennis — if a player retires or is disqualified before the match ends, bets are void unless the market was already determined.
- Racing — non-runners are void; standard deductions may apply.
Limits
We may set maximum stake and maximum payout limits per market, per event and per account, and may change them without notice. Current limits: Rs. 1,00,000 maximum stake per bet and Rs. 10,00,000 maximum payout per market.
